Last night was just a great night altogether. Jeannie and I lead a LIFE Group called Starting Point, on Wednesday nights. The purpose of SP is to provide a conversational environment for those who are new Christ-followers or those who are just trying to put the pieces of their story together. I already love the participants in SP. Jeannie and I were talking last night about how open and incredible the group is concerning their stories and how honest they are about their questions. SP gives everybody an equal opportunity to share concerns and questions people have had their entire lives. Think about that. Have you ever been up late at night, wandering through the kitchen, staring into the fridge, looking in those high cupboards that you never look in, then remembering your looking for something to eat but not sure what. Most our spiritual journeys are like that. Then, when we begin hearing about God and His love story for us and how it began, we are satisfied. There are more and more people beginning to experience community through these type groups at Foothills. I hope that every single person gets at least one opportunity to engage authentic Christian community. It is a life-changing experience that provides stability no matter what life stage.
And second, all I'm gonna say is 74-47.
