Wonderful Time of The Year

There are lots of reasons to get excited about Foothills this time of year. There is so much going on, and God continues to work in so many ways. The new Foothills south building is gaining momentum and positive routine for those making the adjustment. Many new people continue to come every week. A couple of weeks ago we baptized over 40 people. Eric and David (our two worship guys) have established distinct worship environments in our two services. The Stoop, our books and apparel store, pumps out volumes of stuff every week. Hundreds of volunteers are now serving every week. Pastor Greg continues to bring the heat every week. Word is out: peoples lives are being changed and Foothills continues to be the place to be on Sunday mornings. And one of my favorite reasons to get excited...LIFE Groups are forming.

Tomorrow night we begin our Campus LIFE Groups. These groups are semester electives that concentrate on a specific purpose in life. Sunday nights will offer Financial Peace, Truth Project (Christian Worldview), and Search For Significance. This Wednesday will be the start of Parenting Teens, Divorce Recovery, and Starting Point. Starting Point is the best place to be if you are a new Christ-follower, seeker, or if you just have great questions about God's story and your purpose in life. It is still not too late to show up for any of these Campus LIFE Groups. Just show up Sunday or Wednesday night at 6:45pm.

Community LIFE begins this week. We have tripled the number of groups available this fall. If you are looking to get connected to a long term small group, it is not too late. Most Community LIFE Groups begin this week in many areas of our region. These groups are formed based on LIFE stage and location. Community LIFE is a great way to develop meaningful relationships and grow spiritually.

Locally, everybody seems pumped about Clemson starting their ACC title bid. I wish it would cool down about 20 degrees. I think I will sit out today's game and wait for the weather to get more "football sensitive."
